Leonard Ellerbe vs Eddie Hearn, what are the odds?

Jun 09, 2022Jun 09, 2022 Stryker Maguire

Leonard Ellerbe vs Eddie Hearn is the hottest beef in boxing right now and guess what people – we have odds just in case they ever do step in a ring together!

The two boxing moguls have been firing verbal shots at each other in recent weeks and the war of words only appears to be escalating. Heck, it’s nearly as cool as Tank vs Rolly!

Hearn recently said Ellerbe is ‘not relevant’ in boxing in the U.S. – ouch – while Leonard hit back saying Eddie is “a f***ing clown”.

To say these guys hate each other is an understatement. Leonard says he’d love to stomp Eddie – well what if he actually gets the chance to do it in a boxing ring?

Guess what, we now have odds for a fight if it ever happens. We’ve had YouTubers getting in the ring so why not promoters. If they do actually ever get it on, we’ll be there with big-fight picks people – bet on it.

Ellerbe vs Hearn Odds

Ok so the latest odds for this one are pretty close, but it’s the Brit Hearn who is the favorite right now.

Eddie, who boxed a little bit growing up (his Dad Barry is a huge name as a promoter too), is currently 1-3 odds (that’s -300) with UK sportsbook Sky Bet.

Sky Bet makes Ellerbe a 9-4 shot (that is +225 in U.S. odds) while a Draw between the pair is 10-1 odds (+1000).

Ellerbe vs Hearn Tale Of The Tape

No doubt who has the height advantage here, it’s Hearn – the supremo of Matchroom Boxing. The UK upstart which is trying to take over the sport in the U.S.

Hearn remember got a billion-dollar check from DAZN to sign the likes of Canelo Alvarez, Gennadiy ‘GGG’ Golovkin and more to build a streaming empire. Eddie also happens to be 6ft 4ins tall (1.96m).

Ellerbe meanwhile has been one of the main men behind Floyd Mayweather’s glittering career both as a fighter and a promoter. He is just 5ft 10ins tall though (1.79m) so will give up the size advantage here.

Hearn also has youth on his side – he turned 43 on Wednesday June 8, while Leonard – CEO of Mayweather Promotions – is 56 and will turn 57 in September.

We don’t have official weights though Leonard is definitely a little thicker set. Guess we’ll have to wait for the weighin for those numbers!
