WWE DraftKings pool: Expert Wrestlemania picks

Apr 08, 2021Jun 11, 2021 Paul Arizona

It’s the biggest time of year for sports entertainment, as WWE presents WrestleMania 37 on Saturday and Sunday from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

For only the second time in history, Wrestlemania will be split over two nights. We also get the return of live, in-attendance fans, in a stadium setting for the first time in over a year.

There are a ton of high-profile matches being split between the two cards. Night 1 of the historic shows will likely see WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks defend her title against Bianca Belair.

The confirmed main event of Night 2 has WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns facing two elite challengers; WWE Hall of Famer Edge and Daniel Bryan.

As well as welcoming fans back to arenas, WWE is eager to connect with fans who will be watching from home as well.

That’s why it has teamed up with DraftKings to bring the free-to-play Pick Em pool concept to fans watching live on the Peacock streaming service.

WWE DraftKings Pick Em: How do I play?

DraftKing’s Pick Em is a great way to share your voice and opinion on the biggest nights of the WWE calendar.

You can sign up to play for free at the DraftKings website, and compete for a share of a guaranteed $5,000 prize pool.

The prize structure is pretty simple. The top 25 finishers win a prepaid WWE Network card, and the top five win cash:

  • First wins $1500 and a six-month prepaid card to WWE Network
  • Second wins $1250 and a six-month WWE prepaid card
  • Third through fifth win $1,000, $750 and $500 plus six-month WWE cards
  • Sixth through 15th places each get a three-month prepaid WWE Network card
  • 16th through 25th each pick up a one-month WWE card

Once you’ve logged in and made your picks, sit back and enjoy the action while checking out the leaderboard.

OddsCritic picks for Wrestlemania 37

If you’re playing Pick Em, you might just need these. Here are our expert picks for WWE WrestleMania 37:

Saturday April 10

WWE Championship Match – Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Drew McIntyre

Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre will be out to regain the gold when he takes on Bobby Lashley. Last year McIntyre won the title against Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania 36, holding onto the belt during the ‘pandemic’ era and ‘carrying’ the RAW brand on his back. This will likely be WWE’s chance to finally give McIntyre that big win in front of a crowd.

OddsCritic Pick: Drew McIntyre

SmackDown Women’s Championship Match – Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bianca Belair

The likely main event of Night 1 will see Royal Rumble winner Bianca Belair challenge for the SmackDown Women’s title. We see Belair winning the title here, as the company clearly has high hopes for the EST of WWE, and this will signal her true arrival in WWE’s top tier of performers.

OddsCritic Pick: Bianca Belair

Bad Bunny & Damian Priest vs. The Miz & John Morrison

Multi-platinum recording artist Bad Bunny teams with former NXT standout Damain Priest against The Miz and John Morrison. Our pick here is Bad Bunny and Damian Priest, as WWE will want to capitalise on the mainstream publicity of Bunny getting a pinfall, and WWE also has plans for Priest to be a main event-caliber Superstar going forward.

OddsCritic Pick: Bad Bunny and Damian Priest

Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins

This is arguably the most difficult match to predict for Night 1. Rollins is one of WWE’s most trusted and relied upon main event Superstars, but we see Cesaro finally getting the big win at the ‘Showcase of The Immortals’.

OddsCritic Pick: Cesaro

RAW Tag Team Championship Match – The New Day’s Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods (c) vs. AJ Styles & Omos:

WWE sees a lot of potential in its new giant Omos. This match was seemingly put together to give the huge Superstar the opportunity to showcase his abilities on the biggest stage. Omos has not yet had a match on WWE programming, so this could be the start of a long and main event-laden career.

OddsCritic Pick: AJ Styles & Omos

Steel Cage Match – Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon

This is one of those ‘why is this happening?’ matches. Our pick for the winner is Braun Strowman, as he has been at the receiving end of McMahon’s devious plans over the past month or so and the company will be looking to build more main-event RAW Superstars for the Champion over the Summer.

OddsCritic Pick: Braun Strowman

Tag Team Turmoil to earn a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match on Night 2 – Naomi & Lana vs. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke vs. The Riott Squad vs. Natalya & Tamina

The winners of this match will go on to face Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax on Night 2. We see Natalya and Tamina winning here, as they’re the team with arguably the most upside going into WrestleMania this weekend.

OddsCritic Pick: Natalya vs Tamina

Sunday April 11

WWE Universal Championship Match – Roman Reigns (c) vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan

The main event of Night 2 sees Roman Reigns defend against Edge and Daniel Bryan. This is probably the toughest pick too, as WWE has done a great job of building all three Superstars as viable winners. Our pick is Edge however, with him likely getting the win over Daniel Bryan.

OddsCritic Pick: Edge

RAW Women’s Championship Match – Asuka (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

There’s a good chance this will steal the show. Rhea Ripley did as such last year against Charlotte and Asuka is one of the top Superstars in the company in terms of in-ring. We’re picking Ripley as, like Belair on Night 1, it’s a good way to ‘strap the rocket’ to her from the outset (she only debuted on RAW in the last month).

OddsCritic Pick: Rhea Ripley

“The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton

This is the in-ring return of ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt. The feud however has been going on for well over 6 months and this could be the blowoff. We see Bray Wyatt getting the win here and finally moving on.

OddsCritic Pick: The Fiend

Intercontinental Championship Match – Big E (c) vs. Apollo Crews

Speaking of long feuds, this should finally be the chance for Apollo Crews to get the win over Big E and finally become the mid-card Champion his current character work deserves.

OddsCritic Pick: Apollo Crews

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn: Our Pick – Kevin Owens

Likely with help from Logan Paul (yes, that Logan Paul), Kevin Owens is our pick to get the win here. Sami Zayn is continuing his ‘conspiracy’ gimmick and this might be the end of the road before he finally returns to ‘babyface’ status as a good guy.

United States Championship Match – Riddle (c) vs. Sheamus

We’re going with the former UFC fighter Riddle here. WWE is constantly using the ‘Original Bro’ in segments across Monday Night RAW, and this could be the first big title defense for the ‘Stallion.’

OddsCritic Pick: Riddle

When does Wrestlemania 37 start?

WrestleMania 37 takes place on Saturday April 10 and Sunday April 11. Both shows start at 2000 ET (1700 PT), with the Kickoff Shows for both nights taking place at 1900 ET (1600 PT).

As stated, both shows will be taking place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

How can I watch Wrestlemania 37?

WrestleMania 37 and all of the WrestleMania Week content can be viewed via the NBC Peacock Streaming service. WWE joined the Peacock service back in March and all live events will be available to watch as part of the Peacock Premium ($4.99/month), and Peacock Premium Plus ($9.99/month) tiers of service.
