‘I’ll knock Wilder the f*** out’ – Fury trashes Deontay

Oct 06, 2021Jun 30, 2022 Stryker Maguire

Tyson Fury is in prime trash talking form ahead of Saturday’s trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder for the world heavyweight title, and he turned up the action a notch for Tuesday’s fighter arrivals in Las Vegas.

Fury and Wilder meet for a third time – this time at T-Mobile Arena – in an ESPN/FOX Sports pay-per-view that retails for $79.99 right now.

‘The Gypsy King’ is supremely confident – not surprising really after he battered Wilder to his first pro defeat in their last tango at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in February 2020.

Fury believes Wilder still has nightmares about that seventh-round TKO defeat, and he elaborated when interviewed as he arrived at the fight venue on Tuesday.

“No matter what Deontay Wilder does, I’m still gonna knock him the f*** out.

“Before he closes his eyes at night, he sees ‘The Gypsy King’, and everything he wakes up and thinks about in the morning, he thinks about Tyson Fury. Even when he goes to sleep at night with his Missus, he’s thinking about Tyson Fury.

“It must be crazy to be obsessed with a man like me, so much in his life that – it’s crazy. “

Fury mocks Wilder excuses

Wilder came up with a ton of wild excuses for that 2020 loss to Fury, including the weight of his elaborate ring walk costume and saying Fury’s gloves were loaded. Tyson played on that narrative Tuesday.”

“I’ve not really made too much of what he says bcause this time I’m gonna put a knuckle duster on each hand andthen I’m gonna go into the fight. I might even put double knuckle dusters.

“Or maybe bring a steel baseball bat into the ring, in me trousers or somethig, who knows. Can’t tell, can’t tell with ‘The Gypsy King’, I’m like Houdini!”

What’s at stake in Fury vs Wilder 3?

They are fighting for the WBC, Ring magazine and lineal heavyweight titles – all currently held by Fury. The winner could then face the winner of the Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua rematch for all the marbles in boxing’s marquee weight class.

The heavyweight division btw has not had an undisputed champion since another Brit Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in November 1999.

What time does the fight start?

Ring walks are expected between 2000 and 2100 local time Saturday (between 2300 and 0000 Eastern Time).

How can I watch the fight on TV?

Like we said, FOX and ESPN both have the pay-per-view and it retails right now for $79.99.
