Jake Paul next fight: Odds & Picks vs Anderson Silva

Oct 28, 2022Dec 23, 2022 Stryker Maguire

YouTuber and now boxing sensation Jake Paul faces what might be his biggest boxing test so far on Saturday in Glendale, Arizona – a showdown with UFC great Anderson Silva.

‘The Problem Child’ will lock horns with the 47-year-old Silva – a former UFC middleweight champ – in a Showtime PPV.

Silva – despite his advancing years – has a better boxing record than Paul as well as that astounding MMA resume. He is 3-1, including a victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Paul had been tabbed to face Britain’s Tommy Fury last month but that bout, set for Madison Square Garden, fell through when Fury had problems traveling to the U.S.

Then a showdown with replacement Hasim Rahman Jr also bit the dust due to complications around Rahman’s weight.

When is Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva?

The fight is confirmed for the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona on Saturday October 29. Ring walks are expected to be around 11pm Eastern, 8pm Pacific.

Like we said, Jake is signed up with Showtime and this one will be another pay-per-view promotion with the price point set at $59.99.

Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva Odds

Okay so huge change here in recent days. Jake opened up a +150 underdog when this fight was made. But talk that Silva was knocked out TWICE in sparring has seen the odds flip. Paul is now as short as -225 with Silva +180. Wow.

Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva Picks & Predictions

Silva’s participation in Saturday’s main event was under review by the Arizona Boxing and MMA Commission after he told MMA Weekly that he was knocked out twice during camp for this (comments he has since claimed were misinterpreted).

Whatever the truth, it looks like we still have a fight but Paul’s price has been smashed in this week. He actually opened as a betting underdog for this but at time of writing is as short as -225 (bet $225 to win $100) in places.

‘The Problem Child’ is 5-0 and if the concerns about Silva’s chin are legit then Paul winning by KO, TKO or Disqualification at +220 could be the way to bet.

Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva Picks, Predictions & Best Bets

  • Jake Paul wins by KO, TKO or DQ at +220

What is the weight limit for Paul vs Silva?

The weight limit is set at 187lbs (13st 5lbs). The bout will be fought over eight x three-minute rounds.

What are they fighting for?

If this fight happens, tons and tons of money. Yes there may be beef and bragging rights, but above all this would mean dollars. Tens of millions of dollars. A PPV goldmine.
